A Day in the Life of a Quarantined Mom
As we enter into month five of Coronavirus quarantine, we recognize that perhaps the truest form of a hero is the mom.
Busy moms-about-town pre pandemic were already shining stars, managing to look effortlessly perfect from dawn 'til dusk whilst performing tasks and circus tricks for the entire family and their jobs alike.
Now- their tricks of the trade have been put on steroids- and to the test. But still, they manage to look (almost) perfect and act as though everything is under control.
Herewith, a day in the life of Careste Co-founder & CEO- and mom of two (aged 3 and 6), Celeste Markey....
6AM - 7AM
Throw on a caftan for the start of the day: getting the kids up, taking the dogs out, and making breakfast. I find it much more chic than a bathrobe and looks good under any apron. A necessity for my homemade pancakes!
I’ve likely had a spill on my crisp, white blouse by now, so I will usually throw on a silk blouse (I love the Danielle!) for a daily zoom call with team members across the US (all 4 time zones!)
2PM - 4PM
I like to squeeze in a workout from the Sweat app, followed by throwing on a zebra print caftan and heading over to the pool. Here, I play “lifeguard on duty” watching my kids swim (whilst on conference calls, of course).
Oh, I completely forgot- I'm hosting a social distance dinner al fresco for 6. Argh... scrambling!! I’ll grab a matching silk skirt to “complete my look” and wish myself luck!
